This is my blog. The place where I write about mostly the kids and life as it happens around her. During football season, you will see the occasional post or two about college football. I am not an elegant writer and will never claim to be. This is just my thoughts and a way for me to share a little glimpse into our little world with you.
I met the love of my life and best friend back in 2004 when our best friends' got married. He was the best man and I was the matron of honor. We dated for 3 years before we tied the knot. After we got married, the older two begged us to have a baby. They were wishing for twins, but I wasn't even sure about having one baby much less two. They got their wish because now our little family has gone from 4 to 6. We are a blended family but you would never know it. We are one; hence the name of my blog, With Six You Get Family.
Momma
This is me. I am a full-time working mom of 4 amazing kids. I love spending time with my family and friends. Photography is a hobby of mine, which I would love for one day to become more than just a hobby. I am a child of God and saved by Grace. Finding time for myself is difficult but I wouldn't trade one second of our crazy, busy lives for nothing.
The Hubs
This is my husband - my best friend. He has a way of filling my life with laugher. He is a great dad who always finds time for the kids. I would be lost without him.
Lil' Mama
My oldest - the one who was the first of the four to capture my heart. The one who propelled me into this thing called motherhood. She is my drama queen. She is our little mama. We have to tell her all the time to stop mothering the other three, but it's just who she is.
Red
My redhead is all boy. He is constantly on the move. I swear I don't think that boy can be still except when he is sleeping. He makes me laugh just looking at him and seeing his smile. He is the big entertainer for his little brother and sis.
Little Bit
My baby girl reminds me so much of Lil'Mama. She smiles a lot like her too. She, like her older brother, is constantly on the move. And is totally a Momma's girl. Of the four, she may be the toughest and most stubborn.
Big Man
I believe he is the happiest kid I have ever seen. He is laid back a lot like his daddy and thinks everything is funny. He is always the spitting image of his daddy - a mini-me if you want to know the truth. And his favorite drink is chocolate milk.
So that is us in a nutshell. A family of 3 that become 4 then became 6. A true blessing!
